We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, creative and fully qualified chef to produce both outstanding meals and receptions and to create an enhanced dining experience for our guests.
Duties include but are not limited to planning, budgeting, shopping, preparing and presenting meals for the official and for events of 2 to 100 influential guests. The Chef will plan and coordinate official events to include staffing, menu preparation, table/seating arrangements, ordering and purchasing needed items, supervising wait staff, and orchestrating the event.
Repertoire must include a diverse range of cooking styles and meal types; of particular importance is the ability to create versatile international and American meals.
Assists with cleaning and serving under the supervision of the Residence Manager. All responsibilities shall be completed on time, and in a manner representing the highest standards.
• At least three years of culinary experience in a restaurant/diplomatic/official or similar setting is required
• Associate Degree or completion of culinary/catering certificate program or in the absence of an Associate Degree, five years of culinary experience in a diplomatic/official or restaurant setting
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English well
• Must have initiative, good interpersonal skills and flexibility
WHO MAY APPLY:
