We are looking for:

Test Automation Engineer

We are setting up a new digital platform. Do you want to be part of this new project as a test automation engineer? Building the complete test automation framework will be your key responsibility.

  • You’ll be part of a small engineering team (max. 9 people) with different roles – one Analyst, one Architect, and multiple DevOps engineers at the very least
  • You will be responsible for building the test automation framework
  • Together with the team, you will set into place platform testing automation using tools like JMeter, Selenium, Junit, Jenkins
  • You’ll implement behavior-driven development, having experience with Cucumber
  • Your focus is to get every piece of code or user story tested automatically meaning:
  • Designing and writing test automation scripts Using test automation frameworks Enabling quicker application deployments and verifying functionality, performance, and scalability. Investigating software bugs as result of testing Working closely together with the quality assurance lead You will also be involved in evaluating new technology options and vendor products
  • Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements are also part of your job
  • You can imagine it will be complex and challenging, but that’s your ‘energizer’
  • You speak English fluently and have worked in an English speaking environment before, knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus
  • You are flexible in the workplace which could be at the customer site, in one of the Cegeka locations, or working @ home

What you need to succeed:

  • You have a first experience as an Automation Engineer including automation experience with different IT management tools
  • You have experience with one or more programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, Golang)
  • You have experience in conducting test automation code reviews
  • You evangelize test automation best practices to the entire engineering organization
  • If you have worked with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible, that would be great
  • Bringing along experience within a platform-centric environment would be a big plus
