Accounting Assistant

We are an Approved Service Provider committed to Safety of Life at Sea for over 75 years. Globally present with our subsidiaries in the Americas, Europe, Asia and for 2 years our operational branch is active in Republic of Moldova.

Job Discription:

Duties:

  • Support Accounts Payable Process for the Group Companies
  • Create Jobs and enter vendor invoices
  • Interactions with accounting departments across group geographies

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of business and administrative process deriving from previous work experiences or studies;
  • Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • English, B2 and higher: Very good level of reading, written, and verbal skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to handle and process detailed work load;
  • Deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks;
  • Time management: provide immediate follow up to questions and pending tasks;
  • Problem solving skills with a commonsense approach when confronted with work challenges;
  • Documentation, reporting, and scheduling skills.

Pluses to have:

  • Business studies;
  • Previous experiences in accounting;
  • Italian language;
  • Knowledge of Intuit “Quickbook”; 

Other

  • While the position would not generally request business trips the candidate shall be available to travel in the first months to receive proper training if needed (EU passport is preferred);
  • The candidate will mainly interact with the group office in the USA. Working hours per day are 8 but especially during the training availability in the late afternoon hours will be required;
